Our Duties as Shaman
A fundamental duty of those who study and practice this form of Andean healing (shamanism) that was and is practiced by the Laika of the Andes of Peru and, to some extent, of the Bolivian Andes and by many Amazonian jungle healers is that we are the stewards and caretakers of Mother Nature. Our role is one of protection and restoration. It is not enough just to try and leave as light a carbon footprint as possible. We are here to help Mother Nature heal herself. Eagle, Jaguar and Wolf are sacred animals in many indigenous societies.
